This Contract is for Reliability Based Optimisation, Design, Analysis, Construction, Project Management, Professional Review, and General Steel and Civil Construction for Metalloys.
PROJECT TITLE: BOILER DRUM INTERNALS REMOVAL
During the 2015 ELGEN Shutdown period, a statutory pressure test will be performed on the steam drum. The drum internals must be removed for the pressure test, and reinstalled afterwards.
PROJECT TITLE: INSTALLATION OF ID FAN DAMPER BUSHES AND SHAFTS
During the 2015 ELGEN Shutdown period, the ID fan damper bushes and shafts will be replaced. All replacement components will be supplied by BHP Billiton Metalloys.
The detailed scope of work is as follows:
PROJECT TITLE: NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF RAIL BOLTS
Scope Summary:
The scope of work is to perform non destructive testing on rail bolts as per procedure 14-BHP-MTL-PROP-0001 Non Destructive Testing Proposal for Rail Bolts. Recommendation on the load conditions will be included as part of the inspection reports. Tests were done every 50m of the 300m rail.
PROJECT TITLE: DESIGN OF WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR EXTINGUISHING FIRE (AIR HEATER UNIT 1-6)
Scope Summary:
The scope of work is to design a water supply system to extinguish fire inside the air heaters. The designed system should cater for Units 1- 6. The water supply line must tap off from the existing fire hydrant. The water supply system must accommodate fire detections components. However, the valve on the water supply line to each air heater must be manually actuated in the event of fire inside the air heaters. Technical support must be provided throughout the manufacturing and installation phase of each unit. Unit specific drawings must be provided, supported by the engineering reports detailing variation justification, if any, from one unit to the other.
PROJECT TITLE: AIR HEATER SOOTBLOWING MODIFICATION AND OPTIMIZATION DESIGN FOR UNIT 1-6
Scope Summary:
The scope of work is to study, recommend and design modifications to optimize sootblowing on the air hear for unit 1-6. All site measurements and data collection necessary for the study must be included as part of this scope. Technical support must be provided throughout the modification justification, manufacturing and installation phase of each unit. Unit specific drawings must be provided, supported by the engineering reports detailing variation justification, if any, from one unit to the other.
