ROJECT TITLE: OFF GAS SCRUBBER PLANT FAN VIBRATION INVESTIGATION

Scope Summary:

The scope of work is to investigate the cause of vibrations on the OFF – GAS SCRUBBER PLANT Fans and recommend solutions to eliminate the problem. Both C& D lines will be covered as part of the scope. The battery limits for the scope are:

• From the M14 Furnace
• Up to and including the valve before the WGDB FN001A fan

 

The following 3 fans form part of the scope of assessment (both C & D lines):

• WGCD FN001A
• WGCD FN002A
• WGCD FN003A

 

The investigation will include

• Site visits to gather data
• Review of system design specifications and characteristics
• Review of available operating data leading up to fan vibration
• Review of available commissioning and maintenance data.
• The review of other BHP Billiton proposed solutions.

 

Deliverables:

• Report on system design specification and characteristics.
• Report taking into account available commissioning and maintenance data.
• Recommendations to eliminate the fan vibration problem.
• Assessment of other proposed BHP Billiton solutions.
